Glee's accidental Whitney Houston tribute

A bizarre and almost prophetic coincidence will see the brand new episode of hit U.S. musical comedy series Glee tackle the late Whitney Houston's most iconic single.

Filmed before the vocal sensation's tragic death on February 11, the episode will feature a performance of 'I Will Always Love You' by the character Mercedes (Amber Riley) and a representative from Columbia, the label that releases music from Glee, explained to Billboard that the end credits will now be dedicated to the superstar:

"Purely coincidentally, the episode contains Mercedes (Amber Riley) singing 'I Will Always Love You,' the Dolly Parton song Houston made famous in 'The Bodyguard.' The producers have decided to dedicate the episode to Houston's memory with a card in the end credits."

Riley also revealed to E! Online that she had met Houston several days before her death at a pre-GRAMMYs party:

"I didn't need her to take a picture with me. I didn't need an autograph. The fact that she even acknowledged that I was standing there was enough for me."
