Friction - EP is all about conflict. Whether it be the conflict that you have with yourself, your current situation, a relationship with a lover or with a friend. Writing from conflict is where Eleri Ward thrive as a songwriter, and when it came to her second EP that she wanted to create as a reflection of she as an artist moving forward in her career.

The EP was influenced by the sounds of Caroline Polachek, Still Woozy, and Cosima, supporting a voice compared to the likes of Maggie Rogers and Sara Bareilles. Friction evokes the desire to be hot rather than cold, to be in conflict than at peace, because that is simply more interesting, more fun.

Eleri Ward is an NYC-based singer, musician, and actor who makes pop music rooted in storytelling. Originally from Chicago, Eleri studied songwriting at Berklee College of Music before transferring and graduating from The Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Musical Theater and an emphasis in Songwriting.
