Green Day have announced details of a forthcoming UK and Irish arena tour for October. It will be their first UK tour in four years! The band will play 10 dates on the jaunt, playing two shows in London, Birmingham and Manchester, plus gigs in Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow and Sheffield.

Billie Joe Armstrong and co are set to release a new album, '21st Century Breakdown', on May 15th, 2009.

Green Day will play:

• Glasgow SECC (October 19)
• Belfast Oddessy Arena (20)
• Dublin 02 (21)
• London O2 Arena (23, 24) 
• Sheffield Arena (26)
• Birmingham LG Arena (27, 28)
• Manchester MEN Arena (30, 31)

Tickets go on sale this Friday (May 1st) at 10:00 am.
