Green Day have debuted the artwork for their upcoming single.

The group recently revealed that they will be releasing 'Bang Bang' on August 11.

The artwork for the tune has now been revealed on Instagram.

Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong wrote: "'BANG BANG' artwork.. single.. #bangbang #revrad #mynewband .. 4 days.. August 11. #ticktick."

Green Day's last full records came via the 'Uno!', 'Dos!' and 'Tré!' trilogy in 2012.

Last year they released the festive single 'Xmas Time of the Year' online.
