Guns N' Roses say new album could be released in the next year

Guns N' Roses have revealed they could bring out a new album in the "next year".

The band - who are fronted by original member Axl Rose - last released an album in the shape of 2008's 'Chinese Democracy'.

However, it was released fourteen years after the group's last record.

Speaking at the Revolver Golden Gods ceremony this week, guitarist Richard Fortus said that Guns N' Roses should have new material out soon.

He said: "Hopefully very soon we're going to have new stuff out. Well, in the next year."

The group performed at the awards ceremony with original bassist Duff McKagan, who has been filling in for Tommy Stinson.

Rumours constantly rumble about the band's classic line-up reuniting, but relations between rose and guitar icon Slash have remained icy.
