The iTunes Festival to return to Channel 4 for another year

The iTunes Festival is to return to Channel 4 for another year with presenter Lauren Laverne helming festival related programming across Channel 4, E4 and 4Music during September and October.

Now in its seventh year, this unique music festival sees over 60 truly unmissable acts play across 30 consecutive nights in September at Camden’s iconic Roundhouse.  The impressively eclectic line-up runs the gamut from pop to classical and includes Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Elton John, Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, Jessie J, Robin Thicke, Queens of the Stone Age, Pixies, Vampire Weekend, Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, Rizzle Kicks and many more in addition to Katy Perry who will close the festival.

Jonathan Rothery, Commissioning Editor, Music at Channel 4, said:"We are delighted to welcome iTunes Festival back to Channel 4 for a second year. The line-up for 2013 proves the event's repeated ability to attract the biggest and most varied acts in the business"

Coverage will run across Channel 4, E4 and 4Music from Wednesday to Friday during September. A weekly highlights show, featuring exclusive interviews and must-see performances, will TX on C4 on Wednesday nights, with another chance to catch it on E4 on Thursday nights.  4Music will play an extended highlights show to kick off the weekend each Friday in September.

Viewers and fans can also watch the performances live and on demand for a limited time on their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch as well as with iTunes on their computer or with Apple TV.

The coverage will be produced by Princess Productions.
