Ansa GaRangDengZhen (English name is Zen) is a multi-award winning Tibetan singer songwriter and producer at the forefront of a new generation bringing inspirational folk and world music to the masses. Coming from the snowy plateau, this musical genius brings unique styles and powerful vocals to Chinese music while accomplishing his dream teaching compassion and supporting charities worldwide. He showcases the untainted beauty of his ethnic voice with a contemporary yet simple musical concept, creating moving and masterful compositions.

He became a global sensation after winning a Chinese Talent show and was recognized as top ten singers of the year, along with many other achievements. This earned him a place as a regular special guest performer for CCTV and many other TV stations. He rejuvenated Chinese folk music to the public during his world tours. In the process, he received the American Love and Art Contribution Award, the British Charity Artist Honor and Performing Artist Award in Australia, Egypt, Qatar and Canada.

He has a long history of activism, charity and humanitarian work that is reflected in his transformative art. Throughout his 20 + years of singing, composing and performing, he was won over 20 awards in China and overseas as well as contributing music and raising funds for stem cell research, earthquake relief, leukemia, the International Children's Fund and other human welfare causes. Zen has been named ambassador for the Canadian Liver Fund, the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, the Tibet Aid and Development Foundation. Zen has also proudly served as the Vice Chairman of the Tibetan Performing Arts Alliance.

In 2016, he was invited to attend the Canadian International Film Festival as a representative and won the Performing Arts Contribution Award. The following year, Zen participated in the week-long Canadian Golden Maple Leaf International Film Festival series of events with the documentary "Turning the Mountain of God with a Long Head" as the chief planner and chief producer, and won the Single Award for Best Documentary Character.

In January, 2018, Gajang Deng Zhen launched a North American tour of Hard Rock Casino's that was presented by representatives of the Canadian Parliament.

The documentary "Seven Days and Seven Nights" (2019), based on Zen's musical path, won the Best Musician Award at the 23rd Hollywood Family Film Festival.

While promoting folk music overseas, Ansa GaRangDengZhen strives to spread the essence of Tibetan culture, “Tangka Art”. He cooperated with Canada Vancouver Cultural Centre in 2019 and presented Vancouver’s largest “Tibet Tangka Culture and Art Exhibition”, bringing Chinese ancient arts overseas, attracting tens of thousands of people.

Ansa GaRangDengZhen is bringing his timely message of love and peace to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre for his "Songs from the Himalayas" tour in Vancouver on August 13, 2022 and is currently busy working on new music. Ansa Garangdengzhen (English name is Zen) is an award-winning Tibetan singer-songwriter. He has won the Outstanding Artist Award in the United States, the British Charity Artist Award, and the Chinese Love Star as well as serving as ambassador for the Canadian Liver Fund, the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, the Tibet Aid and Development Foundation, He also proudly served as the Vice Chairman of the Tibetan Performing Arts Alliance.

In 2010, he won the championship of Hunan Satellite TV Happy Male Voice Fujian Division. In 2013, he won the national top ten of the monthly CCTV Avenue of Stars column. In 2015, he composed the theme song "XiziQing" for the image promotion of Tibetan television enterprises, and composed and produced the public welfare song "When I Stretch Out My Arm" for the Beijing Red Cross Hematopoietic Stem Cell Association. In December 2019, he was elected as a member of the Sichuan Youth Federation.

In 2001, he won the third place in the children's group of the Huanglong Cup Singer Competition. In 2002, he won the first prize in the Songpan Tibetan Middle School Student Singer Competition. In 2003, he won the first prize in the Golden Autumn Voice Kangding Teacher's College Top Ten Singers Competition. In 2006, he won the first place in the singing popular group in the Chinese original lyrics song and singing selection activity.
In 2008, he released the musical work "Snow Blue Dream". In 2009, he produced the music "Melodious Love".

In 2010, together with Tibetan artists, the earthquake relief song "Life Stands as a Tree" was recorded for Yushu in the disaster area, which was broadcast by CCTV4 and other media for Yushu disaster relief. In the same year, he was interviewed by the Central People's Radio For the Voice of Shenzhou Chinese Concert as well as Sichuan Kangba Satellite TV. It won the first place in the Fujian Division of Hunan Satellite TV Happy China Happy Male Voice. In March 2011, he participated in the recording of Sichuan Satellite TV's "China Love, Big Song Club". In the same year, he composed the song "Gug Dynasty".

In 2012, he participated in the personal interview of the Voice of Literature and Art of the Central People's Radio "Starting from Culture" followed by Central People's Radio's Voice of the City program "Weekend Driving" and CCTV15 "Let's Music Together". In 2013, he composed the public welfare song "When I Stretch Out My Arm" for leukemia patients. In February 2015, the special program "Echo Loud" was broadcast on the first day of the Chinese New Year. In March, he went to Nepal for the first time for folk music exchanges. In March, he recorded CCTV's "Folk Song China". In March, he participated in the Sino-US International Television Festival held at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.
