(Nov. 9, 2015 – New York, NY) Island Records star Shawn Mendes adds another chart-topper to his saga, as his double platinum hit “Stitches” jumps to #1 on Billboard’s Top 40 radio-based Pop Songs airplay chart, from his #1 debut album Handwritten. Also this week, “Stitches” edges its way up the Hot 100 to #4-bullet (from #5) Shawn’s highest-charting Hot 100 single to date.

Around the world, “Stitches” has reached #5 on the Global Spotify chart, hit Top 15 on the Global Shazam chart, and reached #1 iTunes in 9 countries, Top 5 in 29 markets, and Top 10 in 41 countries. Sales certifications have been pouring in as well – double-platinum in Canada and Sweden, platinum in the Netherlands, and gold in Norway and Denmark.

The success of “Stitches” underscores Shawn’s recent announcement of the arrival of HANDWRITTEN REVISITED on November 20th, a re-release of his Handwritten album that will now include four brand new songs, including his next single due out Nov. 18th, as well as live versions of five tracks from the original album. Shawn will be joining the all-star lineup of iHeart Radio’s Jingle Ball Tour 2015 for 10 selected shows between its December 1st opening at American Airlines Center in Dallas, and its December 19th climax in Tampa at Amalie Arena. Halloween marked Shawn’s final show as special guest (since May!) on Taylor Swift’s sold-out The 1989 World Tour. Already looking ahead to 2016, he will play his biggest New York City concert to date, headlining Radio City Music Hall on Saturday, March 5th, which sold out in under 5 minutes.
