James Morrison's honest third album

British crooner James Morrison has shunned the slick, over-produced sound that's popular at the moment in favour of something more true to his roots for his third studio album. 

The 'Broken Strings' star spoke to BANG Showbiz at the Sony Radio Academy Awards about his latest project and revealed he intentionally "tried to forget" the tricks of the trade to create a more honest record:

"It's my favourite piece of work so far, I tried to forget what I'd learned before and do what I wanted to do in the first place, but I didn't have any experience to do. So I made an album that felt real and not over-commercial and trying to just write good songs."

The album, which is currently untitled, is expected to be made available later this year and you can watch him busking in Birmingham here:
