Jason Derulo talks second album

For a lot of artists, recording the follow-up to a hit debut album can be scary. Not so for Jason Derulo.

“A lot of people talk about the sophomore pressure, especially if you’ve had a lot of success on your first album. I don’t feel any pressure at all,” explains the ‘Ridin' Solo' singer. “It’s more exciting than anything. The second record is really important to me and I have to put my best forth. I have to make sure every waking moment is spent making sure this album is as perfect as it can possibly be.”

Derulo also added that he does it all for the fans, not the fame.

“I’m not trying to become more famous, I’m not trying to make more money,” he says. “Whether my next record goes to No.1 or not, it wouldn’t make any difference.”
