Jennifer Lopez has admitted that her divorce was one of the lowest moments of her life.

The singer split from Marc Anthony in 2012 after nearly eight years of marriage.

She is now in a relationship with dancer Casper Smart, but she told People that her divorce to Anthony still ranks as one of her worst moments.

Lopez said: "I went through a tremendous low, but I wouldn't change anything [about my past] because it made me who I am.

"As women, we can sometimes give ourselves away. I was certainly guilty of that for some time. Now I realise I am good on my own, so now I can share my life with somebody."

The singer meanwhile is due to release her new album 'A.K.A' on June 17.
