Jennifer Lopez on 'The Boy Next Door': 'When I read the script, I really related to my character'

Superstar Jennifer Lopez has opened up about working on her new film 'The Boy Next Door' and confessed that she understood the lead character's perspective because she recently went through a divorce and often struggles with this fact.

Speaking to On Air With Ryan earlier today (January 15), the beauty explained that she immediately related to the character she was hired to play so was on board with the project right away:

"When I read the script, I liked the character because I felt it was very related. She’s a woman in a long marriage, her husband just cheated on her, and she’s kind of at the lowest point in her life. She’s at that moment and then this guy comes along — the boy next door shows up — and starts making her feel like she is worth something.”

“That she is desirable in some way and reminds her because she’s feeling the total opposite in that moment. And then of course, [she] makes a mistake and crosses the line and it changes their lives forever. But I really did love [how] she’s strong, but she’s vulnerable at the same time.”
