Jennifer Lopez will perform her latest single for the first time on American Idol this week.

The singer will run through 'Ain't Your Mama' on the show on Thursday (April 7).

The song will be available to download after the performance.

Lopez announced the news on Monday (April 4) via Facebook Live.

She said of the Idol performance: "It’s gonna be very high energy."

The US star also revealed some lyrics to the song, such as: "I ain’t gonna do your laundry, I ain’t your mama / Boy, I ain’t your mama."

Lopez is currently a judge on American Idol, but the current series is the last.
