JLo reveals that 'American Idol' role didn't put her at ease

Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez recently quit her position as a judge on 'American Idol' and has admitted that the role made her uncomfortable.

The superstar explained that although she thoroughly enjoyed her time on the show she prefers to be on stage and feels more at home there than behind a desk judging hopeful contestants:

"I'm a professional! And as fun as it was to take a break from everything and do that for a little while, this is where I belong. I'm so much more at ease on stage than I was sitting in that chair."

"Idol was a catalyst for all this movement in my life. Talking to the contestants and sharing what I've learned over the years performing live and singing in the studio - it got me back to those things. All of a sudden I realised I knew all this stuff."

Mariah Carey recently signed on to replace the 'On The Floor' beauty, but there is still one space open after Aerosmith's Steven Tyler also confirmed his decision to leave.
