Jessica Simpson: "Motherhood is challenging"
Jessica Simpson says although motherhood is the "best thing" she's ever experienced - it also presents the most challenges.
The blonde star is currently pregnant with her second child after giving birth to daughter Maxwell in May.
Simpson explained to People: "Motherhood is the best thing I’ve ever experienced – and the most challenging."
The US songstress - who confirmed on Christmas Day that she and her fiancé Eric Johnson are expecting another family addition - finds it difficult to balance her work and home life commitments.
The Fashion Star mentor revealed: “On some of the days of Fashion Star, I’m awake before [my daughter Maxwell] is awake, and I’m not home until she’s already back to sleep. That’s only happened about four times, but it makes the day awful. I definitely need to see my baby.
She added: “I get really sad if I don’t get to see her. And then when Maxwell sees me, she just stares at me and touches my face. I can tell she missed me. That breaks my heart.”
