Jessie J buys bicycle for young fan with cerebral palsy

'Price Tag' songstress Jessie J recently purchased a specially-made bicycle for a young fan who suffers with cerebral palsy.

She discovered 6-year-old Ruby Huxter (pictured left with the superstar) through Twitter and learned about her story, which inspired her to step in and do something to help. Huxter can't walk or talk and needed the £2,200 ($3,740) custom-built bike to help her muscles develop.

After noticing Ruby's mother, Vicky, trying to raise funds online for the bicycle, the beauty decided to buy it outright.

Vicky explained to WalesOnline.co.uk that it was a beautiful gesture and one that is very much appreciated: "Jessie has just done a massive, massive gesture for us. I would have been fundraising for about three years to be able to afford it otherwise... Ruby loves the bike. We just cried when we saw her first start pedalling it - I thought it would take months or years before she'd be able to."

Jessie J, meanwhile, shared a photograph of herself with Ruby and added that it was a pleasure to be able to help such a lovely child: "Ruby I hope you love your new bike and it helps strengthen your legs."
