Jessie J says breaking into the US is a 'big scary battle'

Jessie J has admitted that breaking into the American market is a "battle".

The singer has made inroads into the country in the past, with ther 2011 debut album 'Who You Are' landing at No.11.

The Brit is set to trump that, however, with the Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande single 'Bang Bang', which hit No.1 on the US iTunes.

Speaking to 99.7 Now, Jessie J said that she is often overwhelmed by the size of America compared to native Britain.

She said: "The US is that big scary battle, but in a good way. I look at the UK and like it fits into Texas twice."

The singer meanwhile recently said that she is thinking of buying a home in the States, telling KISS FM:

"I'm kind of 50/50 there and within the next kind of 18 months I'm gonna basically get a place in LA or New York."
