Jessie J: 'I'm pushing myself to work harder'

Jessie J believes her recent success is encouraging her to work even harder.

The singer's last single 'Bang Bang' hit No.1 in the UK and enjoyed success in the States too.

Speaking to Digital Spy in an interview published this weekend, the Brit said that she has boosted her work ethic recently and is getting her "brain in the game".

When asked if 'Bang Bang' was a statement of intent, Jessie J said:

"Yeah, of course. I mean, what you want and what you get is not always the same thing, but those two things this time coincided and I feel very lucky, and I'm almost pushing myself to work harder. I wrote out my diary yesterday and colour-coordinated the whole thing. I'm getting my brain in the game and my body prepared.

"Knowing that I've had the number one here and the single's done so well worldwide, I just feel like I'm ready. I feel so lucky. My last number one in the UK was three years ago, so we didn't know when it was going to happen again. I was like, 'Am I gonna be like 35?'."

'Bang Bang' features on Jessie J's new album 'Sweet Talker', which was released today (October 13).
