Jessie J on having a stroke at 18: 'I was told I wouldn't sing or walk properly again'

Songstress Jessie J has opened up about having a stroke at the young age of 18 and confessed that physicians told her life probably wouldn't be the same after it happened.

Speaking in a new episode of 'The Ride', the 'Domino' superstar admitted that she was really worried about her recovery as doctors initially told her she would never walk properly again:

"I lost feeling in my right arm and I was like 'this doesn't feel right'. Tingles, shooting pains - my face started to go numb on my right side and I called my dad and my dad was like ' you need to go to hospital, something's wrong."

"So I went to the doctor's and they just said 'I don't want to alarm you but you're having a minor stroke' and at this point I couldn't see out of my right eye, my face was dropping, it was scary."

"I was told I wouldn't sing or walk properly again 'cause they didn't think that my face would fully come back to normal so I prayed a lot and didn't let it get me so I just was like 'this is a test that I've been given as a person and it hasn't killed me so it can only make me stronger."
