Jessie J nails 'Gig In A Minute' on Sounds Like Friday Night

Jessie J took part in 'Gig In A Minute' on the BBC music show Sounds Like Friday Night last night (April 27), presented by broadcaster Greg James and rapper Dotty.

The competition challenges singers to perform as many of their songs in 60 seconds.

The vocal powerhouse, behind hits including 'Price Tag' and 'Domino,' is one of the most successful female singer-songwriters to have come out of the UK - accomplishing 13 top 40 UK singles and 3 UK No. 1's in her career to-date. And last night she showed viewers why she is still one of the hottest acts around, by beating all of the previous contestants as she performed 14 of her songs in record time.

It's not the only competition the former The Voice UK judge has won this month. She recently returned from China after being crowned the first international winner of Singer, China's biggest singing talent show competition which is watched by one billion viewers and involves professional singers competing against each other.

About the show, Jessie J said:

"I know a lot of people were shocked when they found out. Like why would I compete in a singing competition... I'm probably the least competitive person I know.

"I said yes because I LOVE to do the unexpected and I LOVE to represent the UK and singing everywhere I go. I LOVE to sing. But also it was an opportunity to bridge a gap between two cultures.

"China is an amazing place and so different to anywhere I have ever been. I have never been made to feel more welcomed and loved as I have done here."
