Jessie J heads to the studio to start work on second album

Jessie J has revealed that she is heading into the studio to start work on her sophomore album.

The 'Price Tag' superstar has been incredibly busy recently with stateside performances and her judging role on The Voice, but took to social networking site Twitter late last night (April 12) to confirm that she was about to begin recording her second full-length offering:

"Stuuuuddddioooooo aaaghhhjkgferyiojkcvsuiojxswef for 2 weeks!!!! Album two begins.... I'm going IN! Let's go!"

Earlier this year, Jessie J spoke about her plans for the new album and explained that she would like to focus on a more stripped back sound this time around:

"This time I want to focus on where the melody goes rather than the beat. One song in particular I’ve written is very close to my heart. It’s just me and the piano. It’s an exciting process."
