Aston Merrygold from JLS will be taking part in next year's Big March, which is part of Anti-Bullying Week, alongside Pixie Lott and the lively duo, Jedward.

This event will take place online on January 31 and it will be the world’s first ever global virtual protest march.

Millions of avatars created by young people, celebrities, teachers and parents from around the world, will digitally march with placards across global websites to deliver a petition to a virtual United Nations (UN) building in New York asking that the UN make it a child’s right to live a life free from bullying.

The boyband member describes bullying as "disgusting" and he wants as many people to get involved so that young people can get the help that they need:

“Making someone feel scared or threatened is disgusting but bullying happens the world over and it is plain wrong. I never thought I would be affected by bullying but I was, and as a Beatbullying ambassador I know how important it is that young people get the support available at Cybermentors.org.uk and know that they are not alone...Bullies mustn’t get away with it. Last year, over 800,000 people marched digitally on Downing Street so make sure you get involved in the Big March 2012 to make a difference.
