JLS backing safe sex campaign in UK schools

Heartthrobs JLS have embarked upon a small tour of UK schools this week in support of a campaign to promote safe sex.

The lads, who have already lent their faces and band name to a brand of condoms, are visiting areas largely affected by teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases to talk about prevention methods and revealed that it's a fantastic cause to be on board with.

Bandmember Marvin Humes told the Daily Star newspaper that as a popular boyband they have a public voice and decided to put it to great use:

"When I was growing up I often didn't know where to go for questions about sex. We want to change that and raise awareness amongst our fans."

"You shouldn't be afraid or embarrassed to bring up the subject of safe sex. Carrying a condom should be the norm."
