JLS pleased to see Girls Aloud return

JLS have praised the reformation of Girls Aloud - although they reckon Cheryl Cole and Co. are out to bring down the boybands.

The British pop scene has enjoyed a great amount of success via its male groups recently, with One Direction, The Wanted and JLS all hitting the big time with aplomb.

Girls Aloud reunited recently to celebrate their 10th anniversary and JLS said in the Daily Star that whilst they're looking forward to seeing their 2013 tour, the boys might be put on the back foot. They said:

"Girls Aloud are back and we want to see their tour. Their new single 'Something New' feels as if, subliminally, the Girls are coming at all the boybands, because they're saying the girls are back."

They continued: "But you could say Cheryl was part of bringing a new era of boy bands. She put us through on The X Factor, and was on the show the same year 1D were on. For the fans, it'll be lovely to see them all back together."
