JLS singer Marvin Humes: 'I have no plans to become a solo recording artist'

Heartthrob Marvin Humes, of JLS fame, has admitted that despite being a vocalist he doesn't want to pursue a solo career now that his boyband have announced their upcoming end.

At the Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards tonight (July 3), Humes explained to Digital Spy that launching a solo career isn't really something he's interested in where music is concerned:

"I think we're all forging our own careers. When we decided to call it a day we all had our eyes on what we wanted to do next. I've not got any plans to be a solo artist. I've got my head in radio and producing dance music and TV. But we're all supportive of each other. We'll always have each other's backs. We're brothers."

The star, who has just become a father for the first time, also added that JLS's shock announcement has finally "sunk in": "It has sunk in because we've known about it for a while. But no-one's gonna know what's gonna happen over the year. It's gonna be an emotional time for us, for sure."
