Jonas Brothers promise new album in 2012

The Jonas Brothers have announced they plan to release a new album by the end of the year.

Youngest brother Nick, who is currently starring in the Broadway production of 'How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying,' recently claimed that the band were in no hurry to reunite.

But speaking to MTV at Hollywood's Rock The Vote kick-off party, Kevin confirmed they intend to start work on the follow-up to 2009’s 'Lines, Vines & Trying Times' when they travel to New York next month.

"Nothing has happened yet, but there's a lot in our heart to write about and we're about to get started. In the next coming weeks, we're going to start writing together, and the future is near, which we're looking forward to."

Joe, who released his solo debut, 'Fast Life,' last year, also added: "It's going to be, I think, our best record yet. I'm so excited."
