Singer Kevin Jonas has taken to his official Twitter page this evening (July 9) to tell his fans that he is to become a father for the first time because his wife, Danielle, is expecting a baby.

Writing on the social networking site tonight, the 'Pom Poms' hitmaker revealed: "@daniellejonas & I feel so blessed to be parents-to-be. Happy 2 be sharing this news!"

Pregnant Danielle quickly added: "It's true! We r expecting. So excited to share this amazing news with all of you!"

Talking to Ryan Seacrest about the moment he discovered the fantastic news, Jonas explained that he was overwhelmed: "I was overjoyed. It's been the most exciting thing in my life so far... I'm excited and I'm nervous."

The happy couple tied the knot back in 2009 and Kevin will be the first of the three Jonas Brothers to welcome a child into the world.
