Video footage has emerged of Justin Bieber in a recent deposition for a lawsuit in which his bodyguard allegedly assaulted a photographer.

The 20-year-old Canadian appeared in front of lawyers recently for a number of hours to give evidence in the case, which revolves around a complaint sent by a paparazzi in June last year.

TMZ have obtained footage from the hearing and it sees Bieber refuse to answer any questions referring to his former girlfriend Selena Gomez, with the singer soon after leaving the room.

The 'Believe' man also appears nonchalant and often arrogant, annoying the questioning lawyer in the process.

The singer was asked if he had ever been to Australia, with Bieber responding 'I don't know' before asking a member of his team.

At one point Bieber was asked about the role his mentor Usher has had in his career, but the singer appeared confused when questioned about the hip-hop man using his real name, Usher Raymond IV.

When the lawyer said 'Usher', Bieber said: "Yeah, that sounds familiar."

Bieber later messed up his words and said 'I was detrimental to my own career' before correcting himself by saying 'instrumental'.
