Justin Bieber responds to 'attempted robbery' accusations: 'I'm being judged and harassed'

Earlier this week, it was reported that Justin Bieber was being investigated for attempted robbery after he tried to snatch a woman's phone from a mini-golf course in Los Angeles.

According to the LAPD, a woman had taken several photographs of the 'As Long As You Love Me' heartthrob without his permission, which irritated him and caused him to try and retrieve her phone. Writing on Twitter about the allegations, the star explained that he's tired of being presented in a negative light:

"It is hard to defend myself and my privacy every moment of the day. Then to see rumours. The truth will set u free. My mom raised me to be kind to others. I get judged, harassed, and I try to take the high road. Sometimes it isn't easy. But we keep trying."

Bieber continued: "I will continue to be the man my mother raised. I love people and I will try to be kind even when things are not fair. Don't believe rumours. Thanks for those who stick by me and those that help me grow everyday. I love you."

The Canadian superstar added that he is as affected by the stories he reads about himself as his fans are: "Off to have fun and smile with friends. I'm human. I feel. I hurt. But I got thick skin too. I can handle it. I love you."
