Floyd Mayweather backs Justin Bieber after racist joke

Boxer Floyd Mayweather has defended Justin Bieber after he was embroiled in a racism scandal.

As previously reported, The Sun obtained a clip of the singer several years ago saying: “Why are black people afraid of chainsaws?”

The Canadian then went on to say: "Run n****r, n****r, n****r, n****r, n****r."

Bieber has since apologised in a statement and boxer Mayweather, who is a friend of the Canadian, took to Instagram to defend the singer.

He said: "Justin has been nothing but kind to me, my daughters and sons over the years. We all make mistakes when we are young, it’s part of growing up. I am proud of what he’s doing as a 20 year old musician and business man."

The boxing star also added a photo of himself with Bieber.
