Justin Bieber to be subject of Comedy Central Roast
Justin Bieber will be roasted later this year for a Comedy Central special.
He will be the subject of the network's popular Roast series, which encourages celebrities and comedians to poke fun at stars.
Ryan Seacrest reports that the show will tape on March 7, with Bieber confirming the news on Twitter today (January 20).
He wrote: "For years I have wanted Comedy Central to roast me. They said only if I provided them w/ more material so for a year now I have worked hard.
"Finally after all that hard work for my 21st bday it's happening. Thanks @RyanSeacrest & @ComedyCentral for the announcement. Let's do it :)."
Seacrest added on Twitter: "Yes I got confirmation @JustinBieber is getting roasted by @ComedyCentral in march...love u justin but it's time lol #BieberRoast."
Previous recipients of a Roast include Charlie Sheen, James Franco and Joan Rivers.
