Justin Bieber on his growth: 'I got to the point where I wasn't who I wanted to be'
Justin Bieber has opened on how he has undergone a personal transformation.
The 21-year-old shot to fame as a teenager after being spotted on YouTube.
His behaviour has often come under scrutiny, with the singer arrested last year for DUI.
However, Bieber is cutting a new figure this year and he told USA Today that he has ditched some allies that we having a negative impact.
He said: "I got to the point where I wasn't happy, I wasn't who I wanted to be.
"Now, I'm around some pretty awesome people who are supporting me and have my back. So that's pretty cool.
"I left a lot of people behind who weren't on the same journey I was on, and I've got a lot of new people in my life who are pouring into me, and not taking away from me."
Bieber meanwhile is the latest subject on Comedy Central's Roast and his episode is due to air in the US tonight (March 30).
