Justin Bieber: 'I want to be around people who are supporting me'

Justin Bieber says he is trying to surround himself with positive people as he gets his life back on track.

The singer has endured a tough couple of years as his personal behaviour was called into question with a series of misdemeanours.

Today (August 28) the 21-year-old released his comeback single 'What Do You Mean?' and it sees Bieber channel an uplifting sound.

Speaking to Z100, Bieber said that he has been shedding people with a bad influence over the last number of months.

He said: "I just want to be around people who I feel are supporting me, uplifting me, and making sure I'm the best version of myself because there are so many people in this industry who just want to keep seeing me fall.

"I mean, maybe I'm a bad influence, but for me I was like, no, I'm going to do this until I feel like I shouldn't be doing this.

"Maybe I was wrong, but that's how I learn, and I feel like I'm much better for it."
