Guinness World Records presents Justin Bieber with special award

Canadian sensation Justin Bieber was awarded a special certificate this morning (September 10) by the Guinness World Records for being the Youngest Male Artist to debut at No.1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

The 'What Do You Mean' sensation looked thrilled as he received the plaque (pictured left) and a spokesperson for the Guinness World Records tweeted:

"On @TODAYshow we've just presented @justinbieber with Youngest Male Artist to Debut at #1 on the @billboard Hot 100!"

Bieber, meanwhile, recently told TV host Jimmy Fallon that his past bad behaviour was a result of spending time with the wrong kinds of people: "What it was is that I just had a bunch of knuckleheads around me, that was pretty much it. I just went through a place of just trying to figure it out. You have to figure out what you're OK with and what you're not OK with, and you have to test the waters."
