Justin Bieber: 'No one knows what it's like to be constantly bashed'

'What Do You Mean' hitmaker Justin Bieber has revealed that it's really hard to stay positive when people are constantly criticising and bashing you.

During a new revealing interview with Capital FM, the heartthrob confessed that lashing out and going a little off the rails was expected given everything he was going through at the time:

"I just felt like you never know how people are going to accept you, especially when you take a break from something you love, or step away and figure some stuff out. It was just natural for me to just have that angst energy about me and I think that once I finally hit the stage and felt how much people were accepting me and wanted me to win."

Referring to his live comeback at the recent MTV VMAs, the sensation confessed that he was overwhelmed by the support he felt from the crowd and it made him emotional:

“It just was such a relieving feeling. No one knows what it’s truly like to have a lot of people constantly bashing you and bringing you down, it can be tough at times. But to understand that there are beautiful people who aren’t doing that and just to focus on that stuff. That’s really what keeps me [going]."
