Justin Bieber says he 'always wants to stay committed to pop music'

Justin Bieber has made a commitment to keep on making pop music.

The ‘Sorry’ star revealed his approach to making music in an interview with Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw.

The 21-year-old star stated that he “always wants to stay pop” and to tackle the genre in the same way as Michael Jackson.

Bieber explained: “I think pop music isn’t necessarily cheesy, it’s just how you make popular music. You take what's popular in the world right now and you flip it and make it your own.”

He added: “I think that's something awesome that Michael Jackson did. He always took something so relevant at the time, like funk and techno.”

Justin concluded: “I just want to collaborate with the best and make good music.”

Justin Bieber releases his new album ‘Purpose’ on November 13.
