Justin Bieber pays tribute to Universal employee killed in Paris attack

Justin Bieber has paid tribute to a Universal Music Group staff member who died in Friday's (November 13) Paris terror attacks.

A total of 129 people died after seven separate attacks took place across the French capital.

89 people were killed during an Eagles of Death Metal concert at the venue Bataclan.

Two of the deceased were reportedly Universal Music Group staff members Marie Mosser and Thomas Ayad (pictured below).

Bieber reached out to Ayad and his family on Facebook, saying that he was a vital part of his work in France.

The Canadian said: "Still thinking about Paris and my friend Thomas that we lost in the tragedy.

"He was part of the team for years and I wish I would've had more time to thank him.

"Make sure to appreciate people while you have them. Thanks Thomas for everything you did for me. You are appreciated and missed.

"Thoughts and prayers are with your family & friends #prayforparis."

Universal Music Group chairman Lucian Grainge previously confirmed in a statement the passing of Ayad.

He said: "This is especially painful and personal for all of us.

"At this point, we have confirmed that Thomas Ayad, an international product manager for Mercury Records, lost his life in the attack on the theatre. This is an unspeakably appalling tragedy. I cannot even begin to express the depth of my sorrow.'
