Justin Bieber clings onto the No.1 spot in the UK with 'Love Yourself'

He has been dominating the chart for weeks, but could Sigala put an end to Justin Bieber’s reign at the top on this week’s Official Singles Chart?

The DJ/producer’s new single 'Sweet Lovin’' is charging up this week’s Top 40, zooming 66 places to No.2 on today’s Official Chart Update, just behind Bieber’s current leader 'Love Yourself'.

Can he go all the way by Friday?

If Sigala pulls it off, it would be his second chart-topping single following 'Easy Love', which hit No.1 back in September. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber’s 'Sorry' is at No.3, Adele’s 'Hello' at No.4, and Grace ft. G-Eazy’s 'You Don’t Own Me' completes the Top 5.

Coldplay are on their way to score their 16th Top 10 single this week, as 'Adventure Of A Lifetime' climbs six places to No.9 today, and Sigma and Rita Ora’s 'Coming Home' vaults from 26 to 11.

Further down the chart, a string of Christmas songs are set to enter this week’s Top 40. Mariah Carey’s 'All I Want For Christmas Is You', which re-entered at 35 last week, zooms to No.14 today, The Pogues ft Kirsty MacColl’s 'Fairytale Of New York' moves 39 spots to No.19, Wham’s 'Last Christmas' is at 26 (up 39 places), Wizzard’s 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday' climbs to 38 (up 41 places) and Shakin’ Stevens’ 'Merry Christmas Everyone' is at 43 (up 42 places). Finally, Martin Solveig is on track to enter this week’s Top 40 with +1, currently at 37.
