Justin Bieber has returned to the top of the UK singles chart

Justin Bieber has retained his place at the top of the UK singles chart.

The singer lost out on the Christmas No.1 last week when the NHS Choir pipped him to the post.

However, the Canadian returned to the summit of the chart today (January 1) with 'Love Yourself'.

Another Bieber track 'Sorry' rises one place to No.2, with Adele's 'Hello' at No.3.

The 21-year-old is also placed at No.4 with 'What Do You Mean?'.

This week's Official Charts Company top five is completed by Grace's 'You Don't Own Me'.

Fleur East's 'Sax' is up eight places to No.6, while MNEK & Zara Larsson’s 'Never Forget You' rises from No.16 to No.10.

Little Mix’s 'Love Me Like You' is up nine places to No.11, with Shawn Mendes' 'Stitches' one place behind.
