Canadian sensation Justin Bieber recently got a new tattoo on his face, which sits next to his left eye, and the artist who etched it into his skin has opened up about the design. 

Bieber's face tattoo is a simple cross and artist JonBoy (pictured below with Bieber) told Us Weekly what it represents to the 'Sorry' heartthrob.

He explained to the publication: "Justin came in last night and decided on a small cross near the corner of his eye. It represents his journey in finding purpose with God."

JonBoy works at West 4 Tattoo in New York City and told Refinery29 last year that he feels honoured when people choose him to mark their bodies: “For me, it’s more of an honor to get to tattoo you. Like, if you come to me and say, ‘I want to get a tattoo from you,’ I’m like, ‘Really? You want me to mark your body for life?’"

"I don’t take that lightly. I take it seriously, whether it’s the biggest tattoo ever or the smallest little dot that you could ever want.”
