Teen superstar Justin Bieber has emerged as the most searched person in America of 2011. 

Analysts at Google have compiled a list of the most popular terms entered on the search engine throughout the year and the 'Baby' heartthrob has come out on top, beating personality Kim Kardashian and pop icon Lady Gaga to the punch. 

Back in November, talented young Bieber was crowned the most searched for name on Bing and his festive album 'Under The Mistletoe' has just (December 14) been certified RIAA Platinum after racking up international sales of over 2 million. 

Google's top 5 was rounded out by rap sensation Nicki Minaj and mother Casey Anthony, who made headlines earlier this year after she was acquitted of killing her baby daughter Caylee.
