Justin Bieber adds to One Direction congratulations

Justin Bieber is the latest big name to have congratulated British boyband One Direction on their success in the US.

One Direction have been causing a stir Stateside over the past number of weeks, with the quintet currently sitting pretty at No.1 on iTunes.

And Bieber took to Twitter to pass on his congratulations to both One Direction and also The Wanted, who are similarly enjoying success abroad too. He tweeted:

"Congrats to my dudes @onedirection for the #1 album on itunes and @thewantedmusic for the #2 on singles. We share the same queen. #Canadian."

One Direction's Niall Horan replied: "Thanks a lot dude, much appreciated and yeh you're right!"

Katy Perry meanwhile has been getting in on the act too, tweeting Horan directly with a message of congratulations.

Horan, keeping his fingers busy, replied: "Hey katy, thank you,let's hope it holds out this week! Thank you for putting me thru! We've been working hard, I won't let you down."
