Justin Bieber and Adam Levine post joke 'supergroup' videos

Justin Bieber and Adam Levine have uploaded a series of short videos online to jokingly announce they have formed a new ‘supergroup.’

The Canadian teen idol had previously teased his army of followers about the clips throughout the week with tweets including: "me, @adamlevine and @kennyhamilton have a major announcement from the studio. wanna hear? Trend #SUPERGROUP."

In the video, Bieber is joined by his bodyguard Kenny Hamilton, and the Maroon 5 frontman, who then ‘announce’ they have formed a group called The Whirling Dervishes.

The trio then joke that the release of Bieber’s forthcoming album, 'Believe,' has been postponed so they can concentrate on the band, which they describe as ‘a better version of The Beatles.’

The 18-year-old is then abandoned when Levine and then Hamilton 'quit the group,' before the pair re-appear on screen in a spoof audition for The Voice.

Bieber, who yesterday asked fans to choose the artwork for his new single, ‘Boyfriend,’ was pictured in the studio with Levine earlier this week, but it’s not yet known which project they are working on.
