Justin Bieber has revealed that he has written a song about his mum and plans to release it on Mother's Day.

Speaking to MTV, the 'Boyfriend' star said that he penned the track about the "struggles" that his mother went through when bringing him up.

He added that he believes the world needs to know just how brave she was. He said:

"I wrote a song for my mom. But I'm going to put it out on Mother's Day. [It's] about the struggles, I say in the song. She had me at like the age I am now. It's about just the struggles she went through and how brave she was, and I think the world needed to know that."

As previously reported, Bieber finally released the video for his latest single 'Boyfriend' after weeks of teasing and build-up.

The clip was filmed by Director X and sees Bieber drive cars, amongst other endeavours.
