Justin Bieber has claimed that One Direction's Liam Payne copied his hairstyle.

The 'Boyfriend' singer, who yesterday was given a speeding ticket following a 100mph paparazzi chase through Los Angeles, told We Love Pop magazine that he recently decided to go for a shorter cut after noticing so many people with a similar style:

''It was more like - everyone's got my hair now and I need to change it up a little bit! Once I had my hair, I felt everybody else started to do the same thing, so I decided to change it.”

And the 18-year-old, who yesterday announced he was extending his UK tour, mentioned Liam Payne in particular after pointing to a picture of the boyband star:

''I mean, does that look a little familiar? Just a touch!''
