Justin Bieber has spoken out in praise of his mother.

The teen star penned a track in dedication of his mum for his latest album 'Believe' and it seems the feelings are still running strong.

Speaking to 2Day FM's Kyle and Jackie O radio show, Bieber said that he reckons his birth was "definitely an accident" but he added the small age gap between himself and his mother makes them even better friends. He said:

"She's amazing...I was definitely an accident, it's great my mom is super young, she's a friend and a mom, she's always been really strict, she still keeps me in line."

Bieber meanwhile also opened up on a basketball film he is working on with actor Mark Wahlberg. He said:

"We've been working on this, this Mark Wahlberg movie, it's a basketball movie...We're still figuring it out, it takes time, with movies it always takes time, it's just about a waiting game."
