Justin Bieber says he is proud of Carly Rae Jepsen's new album

Justin Bieber has praised Carly Rae Jepsen after she released her new album.

The former Canadian Idol contestant is signed up to the record label of Scooter Braun, who manages Bieber.

The 'Boyfriend' star has acted as something of a mentor to Jepsen as she looks to build on the success of her breakthrough single 'Call Me Maybe'.

She released her major label debut album 'Kiss' on Monday (September 17) in the UK and has seen it unleashed in the US today (September 18).

Taking to Twitter last night, Bieber said that he is "proud" of 'Kiss', which features a duet between the pair called 'Beautiful'. He said:

"My first artist @carlyraejepsen's new album #KISS comes out tonight at midnight. GET THAT!! great songs! proud of her!"

The 'Believe' man continued: "And yes our duet #BEAUTIFUL is on the album. wrote it a long time ago (check the tweet.) glad it is finally coming out."
