Justin Bieber tells story behind Zayn Malik's foot injury

When One Direction's Zayn Malik returned to England after the MTV VMAs he was hobbling around on crutches and now teen sensation Justin Bieber has opened up about the injury.

Speaking to Manchester Radio station Key 103, the 'As Long As You Love Me' heartthrob admitted that Malik's injury took place while he was staying at his house in Los Angeles:

"He was actually at my house and we were skateboarding, in LA. We were skateboarding and Alfredo [Flores] and him were at my house before I got there and they were skateboarding and he rolled his ankle or something like that on the half pipe."

Bieber added: "I felt bad."

Malik recently told Capital FM that while there are no plans to collaborate with Bieber on the horizon, both he and the rest of his boyband would love to duet with him because they get on so well:

"Yeah, he's a cool guy. He's just a normal kid and we just get on quite well so yeah, we've been chillin' with Biebs. We weren't talking about that [a collaboration] at the house the other night but maybe – who knows."

One Direction feature on the cover of this week's Fabulous magazine - each member has their own individual cover photo (shown below) - and in the accompanying interview, Malik talks of his reservations about being in the spotlight: "I've struggled with fame."
