Justin Bieber "lost for words" at AMAs wins

Justin Bieber swept the board at last night's American Music Awards (AMAs) and has thanked his fans for their continued support.

Canadian heartthrob Bieber scooped all three gongs he was nominated for - Artist of the Year, Favourite Pop/Rock Male Artist and Favourite Pop/Rock Album.

The 18-year-old singer was overwhelmed by the support from his loyal fans and took to Twitter after the Los Angeles ceremony to personally thank them.

He said: "THANK YOU TO ALL THE FANS...ALL MY #BELIEBERS...WE ARE A FAMILY. TONIGHT WAS FOR ALL OF YOU. OUR AWARDS> THANK YOU> LOVE U.

He added: "loss for words tonight. Like I said as long as you BELIEVE in me i will always try to make you proud. Thank you. tonight I will never forget...and HAMMER killed it. haha, (sic)".

In his acceptance speech for the Best Pop/Rock Male Artist prize Justin addressed the people who had previously doubted him.

He said: "This is for all the haters who thought that maybe I was just here for one or two years, but I feel like I am going to be here for a very long time."

A host of stars congratulated Bieber on the social networking site, including 'Call Me Maybe' Carly Rae Jepsen, who scooped the gong for New Artist Of The Year.

She wrote: "Make that three @justinbieber !!! Well Done! #AMAs (sic)."
