Justin Bieber attributes "hard week" to stress and homesickness

Justin Bieber has opened up on his recent trip to the UK which saw the singer hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Among other incidents, the Canadian turned up late for a gig at London's O2 Arena and also appeared to lash out at a cameraman after being provoked outside his hotel.

Speaking to German newspaper Bild, Bieber admitted that it had been a tough week and blamed stress, working out, homesickness and the nature of the paparazzi for causing his problems. He said:

"It was a hard week. I was working out every morning and had a huge show every night. When people are pushing their camera in your face all day long and yell mean things at you [it's hard]."

The 'Believe' star added: "I'm only human, too. I'm far away from home, I miss my family, my siblings and my friends." Watch Justin Bieber scuffle with a cameraman below:
